How much does a sender pay?
The sender must meet the price you've set for their category. Payment is USDC. Gnesi adds 1% when they send, and keeps 1% when you are paid.
Does opening a message release the payment?
No. A sender's USDC stays in escrow until you accept, reply, or complete the action they requested. Simply opening or reading a message never releases the payment.
What happens if I take no action?
If you take no action, the USDC returns to the sender after seven days.
Can people outside Gnesi receive my messages?
Yes. The letter comes from your address, with one line that says whether it is free or paid, and a link to continue on Gnesi. For a priced message, the outside email waits until the USDC is in escrow. The conversation and its payment conditions stay on Gnesi.
Do I need a paid plan to receive money?
No. Your plan covers your Gnesi address and account features. Message payments are separate, so you don't need a paid plan to receive money.
How does Shield protect my agent?
Gnesi's Shield checks incoming mail for attempts to manipulate or redirect your agent before the agent sees it. Messages that need your attention can wait for your review. You stay in control of what your agent sees and does.
